main aim is to show the way on how to use the highly effective step-by-step approach
developed in the project TAPESTRY to stimulate clean urban transport. In the short
term, STEP BY STEP aims to demonstrate how the Tapestry Approach can be applied
in very diverse situations and realise cost-efficient high impact demonstrations
ready to be copied by followers. It aims to contribute to stabilising the use
of energy-efficient clean urban transport and at least locally breaking the still
ongoing trend toward single car use. In the long term, STEP BY STEP objectives
are to achieve the establishment of the TAPESTRY Approach as a standard for future
mobility management and awareness campaigns, to raise the awareness on the potential
of the TAPESTRY Approach among decision makers, politicians and public transport
providers in the EU and finally to contribute to a substantial modal shift from
single car use towards energy-efficient clean urban transport. |
